The to-do-list is shrinking

This is just a very brief update and will be the last for a month or so.

Another two things have finally been ticked off the to-do-list; (1) insurance was finally purchased last week, so that’s a relief and saved me lots of money, and (2) accommodation for the night in Orlando is booked. So I have a 6 month CoverMore travel insurance policy and will be staying at the Holiday Inn Resort Lake Buena Vista.

I have also received my Australian Federal Police Check back (no criminal history!) and have forwarded that to a subsidiary company of Disney that deal with background checks.

Our Brisbane/Sunshine Coast/Gold Coast get together was last night – it was great to meet some others, share our excitement and will help make the process of living in a foreign place (not that Disney is exactly foreign – but you will know what I mean) less daunting when you know a couple of people.

Now there is nothing really I can do or organise until we receive our welcome and Visa package from Disney in mid Oct. It’s both good and bad that we have to wait that long; it will mean I can focus on study and not get distracted with Disney things (but will no doubt happen anyway), but it also means that I will be trying to organise my Visa and fill in paperwork during uni exam block – not the best timing.

So until mid October when there is more news, enjoy every opportunity that each magical day brings!
