The Week That Was...

Hi,

This last week seems to have been crazy with classes, work, household chores and some fun it between!
Where to start? I have now attended three Career Development Workshops, are half-way through my Disney Exploration Courses, attended one College Alumini Speaker Series with a panel of Disney Cast members from Entertainment (it was very interesting listening to their diverse career paths in getting them to their current roles and the opportunities that exist) and finally I have completed four Harvard Mentor Courses. So I am pleased to say that education is, as you can see, is still occurring, just at a slower pace than uni.
On top of this; Walt Disney World has seen an influx of guests over the past couple of weeks with Spring Break, so to some extent I have been avoiding the parks and the crowds. However, I spent one afternoon enjoying the EPCOT Garden and Flower Festival. I loved all the flowers, various gardens including the Fairy and Butterfly Gardens, and the numerous Disney character topiaries. I finally also got to watch ‘Wishes’, the Magic Kingdom Firework spectacular and enjoy the Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride at the newly refurbished (and just opened) Fantasy Land. The second water park, Typhoon Lagoon, has also just reopened so some thrills including swimming with baby sharks and a enjoying a water rollercoaster  is on the calendar for next week.
Surprisingly, work hasn’t seemed any busy over the Spring Break period – I guess because I am yet to see us, on any one night, have anything but high occupancy figures! I am finally starting to feel as though I know and understand more about the parks and dining options, I guess this knowledge is coming from my time in the parks and interactions with other cast members and guests. However, each and every day I continue to learn more – it makes it interesting and rewarding at the same time and I am also meeting some very inspiring guests.
Again, as I have shared in previous posts, it is hard to put pen to paper about all of these experiences nor do I wish to write a diary per say on here, however, I hope this provides a glimpse into my Disney life.

Bye for now,

xxx
