What a crazy week – just see the Disney car park or the cues and you would know it is Spring Break!
As a result, work certainly has been busy, I must have jinxed myself in my previous post by saying it was quiet, but there is no complaining – there are more guests to assist and more opportunities to make magical moments. Anyway, this week’s two pieces of work news are; firstly I had my first thirteen hour shift the other day and I survived , and secondly, I have been deployed to Animal Kingdom Lodge next week. Deployment commonly occurs across Disney property and involves being temporarily relocated to a new work location to accommodate balance cast numbers etc. I will not deny that I am feeling slightly nervous; it is slightly like starting a new job – new location and new people, but it will be great to learn firsthand about a new resort, meet new cast members and have another challenge – no doubt it will be fun (and I even get to watch the animals).
Apart from work, I had an awesome day at Typhoon Lagoon on Monday with my housemates; we snorkelled with the fish, stingrays and shark, enjoyed the slides, attempted to surf (but actually got dumped) but the tsunami wave and enjoyed some of Florida’s beautiful sunny weather! Otherwise, I went to Hollywood Studio’s last night to watch ‘Fantasmic’ (a water and light spectacular) and are hoping to return to Magic Kingdom tonight to re-watch ‘Wishes’.
I guess that sums up this week’s news – I will be able to tell you all about a new resort next week.
Hope Tinkerbelle finds you to deliver some pixie dust!
