Another Week Gone

Dumela,

Yet another busy week has passed but not without presenting challenges and opportunities for the future.
So as you are aware from the previous post I was deployed to Animal Kingdom Lodge for the week. An amazing resort centred around four savannas where various animals roam, I can’t complain when I can look out from the concierge desk and watch the giraffes feeding from the trees. However, it has come with the challenges of very quickly learning about two resorts (Animal Kingdom has two resorts – the lodge [Jambo House] and Kidani Village) and the various additional activities offered not only at the resorts, but also at Animal Kingdom theme park. I am, however; now back at the Contemporary – my work home!

Apart from work, I had the opportunity to meet with Jeni from Disney Casting and who recruited me for my program to discuss the Disney Alumni Ambassador Program. So after my program I will be an Alumni Ambassador who spreads awareness and promotes this amazing International College Program and will help prepare future participants by answering their questions and providing recommendations. My first plug, even before coming home; Disney recruiters will be in Australia and New Zealand in May this year recruiting for the Disney International College Program – for more details visit

On top of this, there has still be some time for fun in the theme parks – I have focused solely on EPOCT, for some unknown reason, but dined/eaten snacks from all except three of the countries Around the World and enjoyed a majority of the rides. I think Animal Kingdom will be the next focus followed by Magic Kingdom.
Until next time.

Have a great day and week.
xxx
